FIRST STEPS
Welcome to Alexia Robinson Studio, let’s get started!
You’ll have the option to observe in class or put up a 1-3 minute ‘memorized’ monologue. If you choose to put up a monologue, just pull it online (or write it) and send to your instructor no later than 24 hrs prior to your class.
Usually 2 weeks. Then your instructor will assign a scene partner and scene for you.

METHOD
Alexia has her own method. The Alexia Robinson Technique (ART) is constantly being refined for over 15 years! Her technique has been proven dramatically with over 50% of her students who are celebrities and working actors.
Her technique pulls from the great teaching traditions of coaches before her like Uta Hagen, Stella Adler and her mentor Roy London, who taught Brad Pitt, Sharon Stone, Geena Davis, Robert Downey Jr., Jeff Goldblum and more.

No, Alexia believes in teaching each student differently. She doesn’t want to change you, she wants to teach you how to use who you are.
POLICIES | REQUIREMENTS
Rehearsals
- 3 to 7 hours per week for Adults
- 2 to 3 hours per week for Teens
- 30 minutes to 1 hour per week for KidsFace to face rehearsals can be done at the discretion of each member and or parent.
Fines
Not rehearsing with your partner
- We enforce a $100 fine for not rehearsing with your partner.
- This is only enforced if the member is not returning emails, text messages or calls.
- If our members don’t want to rehearse, they eventually work themselves out of the studio.
Standing your partner up
- We enforce a $100 fine if you stand your partner up on the day/night of class.
- This is only enforced if a member ‘does not’ inform their partner ‘prior’ to the time their scene was expected to go up in that particular class.
- Informing your partner ‘prior’ to class shows courtesy and allows your partner time to refocus and put up a monologue or even get another scene partner if time permits.
Payments
- Payments are due ‘no later’ than the first class of each month.
- A late fee of $25 will be added after the first class if payment has not been received.
- If payment has not been made before the next month, that member will not be permitted to attend class unless prior payment arrangements have been made.
REHEARSALS
Yes. We require rehearsals twice a week with your partner. The rehearsals are virtual or in person for the adult members. When working with minors (actors under 18), no face to face sessions, unless there is adult supervision.
We recommend:
- 3 to 7 hours per week for Adults
- 2 to 3 hours per week for Teens
- 30 minutes to 1 hour per week for KidsFace to face rehearsals can be done at the discretion of each member and or parent.
- Please avoid telling your partner reasons that you cannot make the session/class, unless it’s an emergency, you’re at an audition or on set. Other than that, it may seem that there’s a lack of seriousness about the craft.
- If your partner is not returning text messages, etc., please fire them.
- Please have a monologue ready at all times in case your partner cancels on you at the last minute. This way, no one o
- Please avoid ‘directing’ your partner. Although it comes from trying to help, it actually stands in the way of their growth. Examples—
