Allie’s parents intercept the love letters Noah wrote to her, when he left to go to war. She never got them. She never responded to him over the years, so he thought she had moved on. Once he got out of the service he came looking for Allie, but she was gone. He decided to build the dream house they talked about when they were teenagers. Allie  heard he was back, came to see him and they wound up making love and spending 3 blissful days together
